Well, it’s supposed to snow this week, but spring is still eking along. The daffodil, tulip, hyacinth, and grape hyacinth bulbs I planted last fall have put up their foliage in my yard, even if they aren’t quite ready to bloom just yet. We’ve had lots of rain (3.62 inches in one very rainy day!) so the garden and the trees have plenty to drink. All we really need now is warmth that sticks around to get spring in full swing.
No matter what the weather does, my busy time is already in full swing. I’m frantically busy at work, I have garden chores to attend to, I have multiple musicals to attend, and book events galore.
Here’s what’s coming up, starting this Saturday!

Whether you are a writer or a reader (or both!) I hope to see you at one of these events.
In the meantime, I am still working on my next book, tucking in writing time where I can (which is not as often as I would like). I’m planning college visits for our son and a trip to Scotland with my mother and sister. I’m trying to mentally and emotionally prepare to mark a year since my father’s death as that anniversary approaches. I’m trying not to worry about what our tax bill will end up being. I’m finding peace in early morning coffee and reading with my idiot dog on my lap. I’m looking forward to warmer weather when I can resume the front-porch life I so enjoyed last year.
I’m also really enjoying life without social media.
