I deleted the Facebook app and, cumulatively, have hours of my life back on a weekly basis. My attention span is still a long way from recovering---I also feel the need to look at my smartphone while I'm sitting and waiting for a few seconds---but it feels a fractional success to notice that I'm doing it and fight back by redirecting the behavior.
